So good to meet you! I'm Kathryn Alexander, though my friends call me Katy. I've lived in Santa Fe, NM over 28 years. I have two adult children now, Ti Alexander and Kahlil Norbeck. It is in their company, as well as when I'm swept away into the timelessness of creation, that I feel most connected to myself. I'm happiest when I'm covered in paint, or observing the way the most minute details of natural phenomenon present themselves, and subconsciously (or consciously) these aspects make their way onto my canvases. I believe art can be healing and transformative. I wish for people to experience the liberation of their own heart as I take them on a visual journey through texture and color. In my earlier days I trained in classical piano and have always felt my soul's entanglement between art and music . They come from the same place deep within all of our cells. A recognition of who we are. I think we all are artists, but some forget or are overcome by fear and social conditioning that pressures us to "grow up". So let's ditch the masks, shall we? You can do it even if other people are watching!
